There are five mini-apartments which have been created within a palazzo overlooking Piazza Niccolò Acciaiuoli in Galluzzo. The sight of the colourful local market which is held in the square, along with the view of the monumental Charterhouse, assures quest a delightful stay.
Galluzzo is an old mediaeval village on the outskirts of Florence, dominated by the hill of Montacuto and the imposing pile of the Charterhouse. The construction was begun in 1341 for its founder, Noccolò Acciaiuoli. A member of one of the most important families of the time, Niccolò Acciaiuoli gave the hill, which he owned, to the monks of the Carthusian order, desiring that this colossal architectural masterpiece be built upon it so as to leave a tangible reminder of him to his Florentine homeland.
