Farmhouse Fonte Bertusi
Fonte Bertusi is an old farmhouse whose origin dates back to the XVIII century. Its stone structure has been accurately restored with the purpose of maintaining the atmosphere and the flavour of the past.
The name Fonte Bertusi comes from the latin "fons ubertosus" (turgid spring), a spring situated near the farmhouse which made the area surprisingly fertile and rich in vegetation. The spring which is of Etruscan-roman origin is also cited in Renaissance documents. It originates a small lake a few hundreds of metres from the farmhouse where the famous Siennese clay hills are mirrored.
